Schedule Your Free In-Home Measure

Your in home design consultation is free. We'll look at your openings and talk through the rooms you're planning to cover. A single street in Clermont can cover several eras. Lincolnwood's Tudor fronts and brick and cedar plans put tall glass on the street side, and some houses there add a four season sunroom. The one story ranches off Thorncrest Drive often have a wide front window, sometimes a bay or bow, while the small postwar houses on Mabel Street have fewer windows to dress and each one carries more of the room's light. In the newer subdivisions around town, two story great rooms, sliding patio doors and skylights put high windows on the list.

I agree to be contacted by Clermont Window Treatments regarding my inquiry.

Clermont is a small included town in western Marion County, laid out in 1849 as Mechanicsburg, and its houses reflect that long history. The oldest homes on Hamilton Avenue and Robey Drive date to the 1920s and 1940s, and the postwar houses on Mabel Street run about 1,200 square feet. Thorncrest Drive, Woodale Road and Railwood Drive hold one story brick ranches built between 1964 and 1971 on lots of roughly a quarter to a half acre. Lincolnwood, at the north end, has larger houses from 1969 to 1979 with Tudor fronts, wooded lots and walk out basements. Most households in town own their homes, and the subdivisions just beyond the town line add houses built from the mid-1980s through the late 2000s, from Sunningdale Commons in the south to Bay Colony on Eagle Creek Reservoir.

We measure for outside mount when the depth isn't there, when the opening is badly out of square, or when you want the light controlled properly. Outside mount means the product is sized to cover the opening plus an overlap on each side and above, so the finished dimensions are bigger than the window. It changes how the Clermont room reads, and it changes the price, so it's a conversation rather than a default.

Everything about how we quote is designed so you can say no to part of it. Product and install separated. Rooms priced individually. Motorization broken out per window. Upgrade options listed rather than baked in. If the Clermont number comes back higher than you expected, you should be able to see exactly where to trim it instead of asking us to sharpen a pencil.

Built in the Last Few Years?

Many of our Clermont customers moved into a house built by one of these companies. Builder blinds are usually stock sizes trimmed to fit, so if yours came with the house and never ran right, that is why. We measure the openings as built rather than off the plan.

What We Are Running in Clermont Right Now

Both offers apply to work quoted and ordered while they are posted here. Ask about them at the in-home measure and we will put the discount on the written quote before you decide anything.

Offer 1

$500 Off Your First Exterior Screen, Plus a Free Motorization Upgrade

Take $500 off your first exterior screen and we will add the motorization upgrade at no charge. Exterior screens stop solar heat outside the glass, which is the only place you can stop it before it is already in the room, and a motor is the difference between using one and forgetting it.

Applies to a first exterior screen. Ask at the measure so the discount is on the written quote before you order. Motorized product runs on batteries that need replacing, about a year on Hunter Douglas PowerView.

Offer 2

Free Motorization Upgrade on Select Interior Shades

Pick from the qualifying interior shade lines and the motorization upgrade is free. It is worth most on the openings you would otherwise leave alone: tall great room glass, anything above a stair, and the west windows nobody remembers to close by four.

Select interior shade lines only. We will tell you at the measure which of your openings qualify. Batteries are a real running cost and are not included.

Window Treatment Done Right in Clermont

From one room to a whole house, Clermont Window Treatments measures every opening, orders it custom, and installs it with the same crew that took the measurements.

Faux Wood Blinds in Clermont

Clermont sits under a muggy season that runs from late May into late September, and that stretch is what separates faux wood from stained hardwood. Composite slats don't take on moisture, so a laundry room or a basement bath keeps a flat blind through the whole humid run.

Learn more

Wood Blinds in Clermont

A square check comes before a width. We measure the diagonals of the Clermont opening as well as three widths, because a frame that's off square by a visible amount will show a wedge of daylight along one side no matter how well the blind itself is built.

Learn more

Vertical Blinds in Clermont

A patio door gets measured for the finished opening plus clearance at the floor. Vanes that touch the carpet drag, and a curled tip doesn't straighten out. We set the height so they clear by a small margin, and we check the Clermont floor level at both ends of the track.

Learn more

Aluminum Mini Blinds in Clermont

We offer repairs only on treatments The Window Valet installed or has serviced before. If we haven't worked on your treatments, we'll book a consultation for new ones. Here's the honest limit. A bent aluminum slat stays bent, and there's no repairing it. In a house with a cat that patrols the sill or a door that slams, expect a wavy slat eventually, which is exactly why we don't put these in the main Clermont living space.

Learn more

Roller Shades in Clermont

January in central Indiana runs cold enough that the glass becomes the coldest surface in the room. A closed roller slows the air moving down that face, which is why a Clermont room feels less drafty with shades down even though nothing's been sealed.

Learn more

Solar Shades in Clermont

An inside-mounted screen leaves a light gap on each side, and on a solar shade that gap reads as a bright bar on the wall. Lutron publishes three quarters of an inch per side on Roller 20/64. On a glare-sensitive Clermont room, an outside mount solves what measuring can't.

Learn more

Cellular Shades in Clermont

Nationally, custom treatments run about $250 to $2,600 per window, and cellular spans most of that range on its own depending on cell count and lift. Nobody publishes Clermont installed pricing, so we're quoting your actual openings rather than a per-window average.

Learn more

Zebra Shades in Clermont

Light bands read soft and bounce glare around the room. Charcoal bands hold the view and look sharper against a Clermont yard. Either slows fading on your floor and neither one's stopping it, since NFRC attributes 40 to 60 percent of fade damage to UV.

Learn more

Roman Shades in Clermont

If this window gets operated ten times a day, don't buy a Roman. Folds want to be set and left, and constant cycling makes them hang unevenly. A roller shade in the same Clermont room takes the daily abuse and looks identical every time it comes down.

Learn more

Woven Wood Shades in Clermont

If the window sits over a tub or in a bath that runs steamy twice a day, natural fiber is the wrong choice. It takes on moisture and it won't stay flat. A composite product does the same visual job in a wet Clermont room without the consequences.

Learn more

Blackout Shades in Clermont

A blackout roller closed against a west Clermont window in July stops the beam and holds heat between the fabric and the glass, which is worth knowing. It's a light product first. If cooling is the complaint, cellular or an exterior shade does more.

Learn more

Plantation Shutters in Clermont

Paint lots move, and a shutter added to a Clermont room next year will sit beside the originals under the same light every day. White's the worst offender, because the eye reads small shifts in white immediately. Order the room together if the budget allows.

Learn more

Cafe Shutters in Clermont

Winter is when the uncovered top half shows up as cold air rolling down the glass and across the room. Cafe shutters don't do anything about that. If a Clermont room is uncomfortable in January, we'd add a cellular shade above rather than pretend the shutter solves it.

Learn more

Motorized Shades in Clermont

Motors go in at the factory, not in your living room, so the order can't be edited on install day. Custom lead time runs two to five weeks, and a Clermont job that changes fabric after the order releases starts that clock over.

Learn more

Custom Drapery in Clermont

A drapery rod carries real weight, and drywall anchors don't. Long spans need a center support bracket and screws landing in wood framing, which is why we locate the wood before the rod height gets set on a Clermont wall rather than after the holes are in.

Learn more

Valances & Top Treatments in Clermont

Over a Clermont kitchen sink, a top treatment lives in steam and cooking film. Choose something you can take down and clean, keep the length well clear of the faucet arc, and skip silk entirely, because that spot's harder on fabric than any other window in the house.

Learn more

Exterior Solar Shades in Clermont

Outdoor mesh carries an openness factor the same way interior fabric does, and the number still runs the decision. One percent cuts the most glare and keeps the least view, ten percent does the opposite, and we'll hang samples on your Clermont opening before you pick.

Learn more

Retractable Awnings in Clermont

Solution-dyed acrylic carries color all the way through the fiber, so a Clermont awning weathers to a slightly softer version of itself instead of streaking. Printed or coated fabrics cost less and show their age faster, and we'll show you both weaves before you commit.

Learn more

Commercial Window Treatments in Clermont

Operable parts have to sit within ADA reach ranges in spaces the public uses, which drives control type as much as appearance does. Whether a Clermont opening gets a wand within reach or a wall keypad at a set height belongs in the design conversation, and it isn't a punch list item.

Learn more

Skylight Shades in Clermont

Skylights come in shapes that never appear on a wall: trapezoids over a stairwell, triangles under a gable, long narrow runs. Each one is a custom template rather than a size off a chart, so a Clermont order for these takes measuring time that a rectangle doesn't.

Learn more

Sliding Glass Door Blinds in Clermont

In January, with Indianapolis normals near a 20.9F low, a big glass door sheds cold into the room all night long. A cellular or a lined treatment across a Clermont slider slows that drift, and it'll do more for how the seating area feels than the thermostat does.

Learn more

Panel Track Blinds in Clermont

An outside-mounted track leaves a gap at the top where light passes above the panels. Adding a fascia or setting the track tight to the ceiling closes it, and it's worth doing, and on a Clermont bedroom that detail is the difference between a dark room and a bright line at dawn.

Learn more

Sheer Shades in Clermont

Vane scale changes the whole look. A small vane reads fine and quiet on a modest Clermont window, and a large one reads bold and architectural on a tall opening, so we'll hold samples at the actual glass rather than deciding from a fold-out card.

Learn more

Pleated Shades in Clermont

Pleats soften over years. The fabric holds its folds well but repeated raising compresses them, so a Clermont shade cycled twice daily for a decade won't look as sharp as one in a guest room. That's the product's honest lifespan, not a defect in it.

Learn more

Bamboo Shades in Clermont

Woven shades have a visible headrail unless something covers it. A matching woven valance hides the hardware and closes the light line at the top, and on a Clermont outside mount that valance is doing real work and it isn't acting as decoration.

Learn more

Dual Shades in Clermont

These are made to order like everything else, so you're looking at two to five weeks and specific band patterns can run longer. A Clermont order also locks roll direction and cassette choice at release, and neither of those can be changed once the tube is cut.

Learn more

Top-Down Bottom-Up Shades in Clermont

Central Indiana January runs a 36.1F normal high, and a cellular top-down bottom-up shade lets you close the whole window at night and still open the top for the low midday sun. A Clermont room gets both moves out of one product, which a fixed treatment can't offer.

Learn more

Cordless Blinds in Clermont

Between late May and the third week of September central Indiana stays muggy, and a real wood slat in a Clermont bath or laundry will drink that up and cup. Cordless faux wood keeps the same clean lift line right through the season because a PVC core doesn't care about humidity.

Learn more

Hardwood Shutters in Clermont

Hardwood plantation shutters for Clermont. Real basswood or poplar in a stained or painted finish, milled to your opening. Wood moves with humidity, so these belong in conditioned rooms and we will steer you to composite where the room will not hold a stable humidity.

Learn more

Composite Shutters in Clermont

Here's the trade nobody leads with. Composite is heavier than basswood at the same size, and that extra weight limits how wide a single panel can go before the hinges complain, so a broad Clermont opening ends up with one more stile crossing the glass than a wood set would need.

Learn more

Smart Home Shade Integration in Clermont

Motorized shades already removed the cords, and integration doesn't change that. What it adds for a Clermont family is that nobody has to hunt for a remote in a child's room, since a wall keypad by the door does the same job and stays where you left it.

Learn more

Blind Repair & Restring in Clermont

A cord lock is a small mechanism with a pin and a spring inside the headrail. When it stops grabbing, the blind slides down on its own, which is annoying rather than fatal. It's a bench-level part swap on most Clermont blinds, and it comes off the headrail without disturbing the mount.

Learn more

Shutter Repair in Clermont

We offer repairs only on treatments The Window Valet installed or has serviced before. If we haven't worked on your treatments, we'll book a consultation for new ones. Residential repair over $150 in Indiana needs a written contract under IC 24-5-11, with the scope and the total on paper. Indiana licenses nobody for this trade, so a Clermont customer should be asking about insurance and bonding rather than looking for a license number that doesn't exist.

Learn more

Motorization Retrofit in Clermont

We offer repairs only on treatments The Window Valet installed or has serviced before. If we haven't worked on your treatments, we'll book a consultation for new ones. The failure people don't expect is the remote, not the motor. Remotes get lost, batteries inside them die, and pairing can drop after a power event. A Clermont retrofit is better with a wall-mounted control by the door, because that one stays where it belongs.

Learn more

Outdoor Patio Shades in Clermont

Pergolas need different hardware than porches do. With no ceiling to mount into, a Clermont pergola shade hangs from the beams themselves and needs tensioning that accounts for a structure that moves in wind. Sometimes the honest recommendation isn't overhead at all, it's a shade on the side.

Learn more

Office Window Treatments in Clermont

Fit-out timing is everything on a tenant improvement, and it isn't flexible. Shades want to go in after ceilings and painting but before furniture lands, so a Clermont suite with a fixed move-in date needs the order placed early enough to absorb a two to five week custom fabrication window.

Learn more

Healthcare Window Treatments in Clermont

Patient rooms want daylight and control, and they don't want them at the same hour. A dual system with a light-filtering layer and a darkening layer lets a Clermont room have an outward view during the day and a genuinely dark space at night, without asking staff to compromise on either one.

Learn more

Multifamily Window Treatments in Clermont

Sometimes a basic stock blind per unit is the correct answer, and we'll tell you so. If a Clermont property turns units frequently and residents rarely stay past a lease term, spending on custom treatments behind apartment doors is money that would do more in the common areas.

Why Clermont Chooses Us

How We Earn a Second Room in Clermont

Serving Clermont and Marion County with quality materials, thorough inspections, and transparent pricing.

A plan based on the local housing

Clermont's houses range from 1920s one stories on Hamilton Avenue to 2000s two story homes just outside the town line, with 1960s brick ranches and 1970s Tudors filling the middle.

Measurements for your own frames

We'll check each opening in your Clermont home and look at the room available for the hardware. If a window has been changed since the house was built, the plan needs to work with the frame that's there today.

Samples viewed in your rooms

We'll discuss the finish alongside your Clermont room's existing trim and furniture. The light at your own window helps you judge whether the fabric suits the space.

Our Process

How a Clermont Walkthrough Becomes a Cut List

Your Clermont window treatment project starts with a design visit. We'll work through the openings before the product is ordered, then plan installation around the confirmed order.

Discuss the rooms

We'll talk through what you'd like to change in your Clermont home and which rooms belong in the first phase. Your in home design consultation is free. We'll look at your openings and talk through the rooms you're planning to cover.

Measure the openings

We'll check the available mounting space and how the windows operate. Any recently replaced frames need to be measured in their finished condition.

Review the product plan

We'll discuss the fabric and the mounting arrangement before the order goes in. If an opening limits your first choice, we'll explain what that means for the treatment.

Confirm installation details

We'll confirm the order's installation plan and explain how to use the chosen treatments. Ask about access for maintenance if you're considering motorized shades.

Common Causes

What we see most often on Clermont window treatments

Clermont homeowners typically call us about these scenarios.

Condensation Marking A Wood Blind

Real wood sitting against cold glass through several central Indiana winters shows it, usually as swelling or a mark along the bottom slat. Faux wood or a moisture-tolerant product in that opening wouldn't have. It's a specification question that gets decided by whoever sold the first set. Once the timber has swollen there's no fixing it, so the choice matters at the order.

An Awning That Has Given Up

The frame is straight but the fabric is faded, stretched and torn at one edge after years of central Indiana weather. Recovering it on the existing structure is usually far cheaper than starting again, and a lot of people do not know that is an option until somebody tells them.

A Cordless Shade That Creeps Down

You set it where you want it and an hour later it has drifted four inches. That's the spring in the cordless lift losing calibration, and it happens gradually over years of use. It's an adjustment or a spring cartridge rather than a new shade, and plenty of Clermont homeowners live with it for a year assuming the shade is finished.

Cold Sitting Beside The Window

The heating is working and the thermostat says the room is fine, but nobody wants to sit in the chair beside the glass in January when lows sit around 20.9F. That's radiant loss to a cold surface, and a cellular shade drawn at dusk changes the sensation immediately. It's also the clearest example of a shade earning its keep in January rather than July.

Nobody Explained The Light Gap

An inside mounted shade was installed and the customer can see daylight down both sides. Nothing is faulty. Lutron publishes inside-mount gaps of about three quarters of an inch per side on their roller systems, and taller shades get more. Had that been stated in writing before the order, the room would have been designed differently.

Drapery Left Short By New Flooring

The floor got raised by an inch and now the panels hang above it looking like a mistake. Hemming to the finished floor height isn't something you can fix after the fact without recutting. It is a timing problem, and it's the reason we ask about renovation plans before measuring.

How We Work

Five Stages, In This Order

Custom window treatments are made to your openings, so the order matters more than it does in most trades. This is how every Clermont job runs.

1

Free In-Home Measure

Every opening gets three widths, three heights and a diagonal square check, because houses settle and an opening that is out of square is the difference between a shade that runs true and one that binds. Mounting depth gets read at the jamb. It all goes on paper before any product conversation starts.

2

Product and Fabric, In Your Own Light

Samples get looked at in the room they are going in, not under showroom lighting. This is where openness factor, inside versus outside mount, roll direction and material get decided, and where we tell you the light gap you are going to live with.

3

Written Scope and Contract

Opening by opening, with the mount type, the light gap, the operation and the total price in writing. Indiana requires a written contract on residential work over $150 under IC 24-5-11, and we would write one anyway.

4

Custom Fabrication

Your sizes go to the workroom. Two to five weeks is typical depending on product and finish, longer on specialty shapes and motorized configurations. You get the real date at the measure rather than a range.

5

Install and Walkthrough

Brackets anchored for the substrate they are going into, everything checked level and square, motor travel limits set and scenes built with you standing there. Then we show you how it all works and take the packaging with us.

Indiana Climate

Indiana Weather Affects Window Treatments Year Round

Indiana sees some of the most varied weather in the country. Clermont homeowners live in IECC climate zone 5A, which carries a real cooling load in summer and a real heating load in winter. July averages a high near 85F, January averages a high near 36F with lows near 21F, and the muggy season runs from late May into late September. That is why the same window can be the hottest room in the house in July and the coldest in January.

Check the room at the hours you use it

Tell us when glare affects your Clermont room. We'll look at which window is responsible and discuss a treatment for that use of the space.

Review privacy after dark

A fabric that gives a daytime view may leave the room visible after dark. We'll discuss that difference before you choose a shade for an occupied room.

Keep working windows accessible

We'll check the treatment against the sash and the controls you use to open the window. The finished arrangement needs to let you operate both.

Connect the plan across a room

If you're covering several openings in one room, we'll discuss how the treatments look together. Each opening still gets its own measurements.

An honest breakdown of the three we specify most often, and when each one is the right answer.

Cellular Shades

The one product in this trade with measured energy numbers behind it. Trapped air in the cells does the work, and DOE and ORNL testing found cellular shades saved up to 20 percent on heating energy and up to 15 percent on total heating and cooling against a bare window. In a Clermont house that matters in January and again in July, which is unusual for one product. Single cell suits most rooms, double cell where the glass is large or the room runs cold. Top-down bottom-up gets you daylight and privacy at the same time.

Both seasonsInsulating$$
Solar & Roller Shades

What you reach for when the complaint is afternoon sun. Solar fabrics come in stated openness factors, and that number is the whole decision: a lower openness cuts more glare and more of the view, a higher one keeps the view and cuts less. On a west or south Clermont window this is usually the honest answer rather than blackout, because blackout kills the room. Cassette or fascia hides the roll, and roll direction gets decided at the measure so the fabric does not foul a crank or a lock.

Glare controlKeeps the view$$$
Plantation Shutters

The one that stays with the house. Shutters are a finish rather than a covering, and they do not get replaced every few years. In Clermont the material choice is technical rather than a matter of taste: composite and poly in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms and sunrooms, because a four month humid season followed by a dry heated winter will move real hardwood, and hardwood only where the room stays conditioned. Louver size, frame style and divider rail get decided standing at your window.

Light Control

See What Each Fabric Does To The Light

Pick a fabric below and the window updates. It's a drawing rather than a photograph, so read it as a rough guide to what each family does in a Clermont room, and to what it doesn't do.

Fabric type

Sheer, 10 percent openness

Ten percent of the weave is open, so you keep the view and most of the daylight. Glare drops a little. After dark, once your lamps are on, someone outside can read shapes through it, which is why this belongs on a view window rather than a bedroom.

Openness factor is printed on the fabric card, so you can compare one line against another before you order anything.

Keeps the viewNot private after dark

Solar, 5 percent openness

The usual pick for a west window or a covered porch. You can still read the yard through it, glare comes down noticeably, and the fabric intercepts a good share of the sun before it reaches you at four in the afternoon.

It also cuts the UV landing on floors and furniture. NFRC puts UV at roughly 40 to 60 percent of fading damage, so this slows fading rather than stopping it.

View and glare controlSlows fading

Solar, 3 percent openness

A tighter weave. The room goes dimmer and the view drops back to an outline. Choose it where the sun is the problem and the view is second, which around here usually means a west wall in July. That's a common call on this side of Indianapolis.

Openness affects how much you see out, not how private you are. A 3 percent fabric still shows silhouettes at night.

View becomes an outlineStrong glare control

Solar, 1 percent openness

Close to a solid fabric with a little view left in it. This is the strongest glare control in the solar family.

The trade is that it darkens the room on a gray January day too. Indianapolis averages a January high near 36F and the light is flat, so think about how the room reads in both seasons before you commit.

Darkest solar optionDim on gray days

Light filtering

No view through it. Daylight comes through the face diffused, so the room stays bright without a hot spot across the television or the kitchen island. This is the default for living spaces.

It isn't private in reverse at night. With the lamps on and the sun down, silhouettes still show.

No view through itBright without the glare

Room darkening

A denser fabric, usually with a liner behind it. Most of the light coming through the face is gone.

Light still arrives around the edges on an inside mount, so a room darkening shade gives you a dim room rather than a dark one. If someone in the house sleeps during the day, say so at the measure and we'll scope it differently.

Dim, not darkEdges stay bright

Blackout

The fabric itself passes essentially no light. What you'll still see is the perimeter. Lutron publishes an inside-mount light gap of about 3/4 inch per side on its Roller 20 and 64 shades, along with a standard factory deduction of 1/16 inch per side, and shades over 120 inches tall or past a 4:1 height-to-width ratio get larger gaps than that.

So if you need a genuinely dark bedroom, that gap has to be dealt with on purpose, either with side channels or by going outside mount. We tell you which one your opening can carry while we're still standing in the room.

Dark facePerimeter needs a plan

Openness factor is a measured fabric spec, so you can compare it line to line. The category names are not measured. One maker's room darkening can behave like another maker's light filtering, which is why the sample books come to the measure and get opened in the room they're going in, at the hour that room has the problem.

Clermont Homes We Have Covered

Window Treatment projects completed across Clermont's neighborhoods and surrounding areas. Click any neighborhood for the specifics we have learned working there.

Lincolnwood fills the northern end of Clermont, north of Crawfordsville Road, in the part of town that falls inside Pike Township. It's a platted subdivision with numbered sections that takes in Log Run Drive North and South, Black Hawk Lane and Knob Creek Overlook, around 105 addresses in all. Houses here went up between the late 1960s and the end of the 1970s on lots that run from about a third of an acre to more than three quarters of one. English Tudor fronts, brick with cedar trim, walk out basements and wooded, rolling yards set the look. Finished space runs from about 3,000 to a little over 4,000 square feet, well above the one story houses elsewhere in town. View Lincolnwood window treatment details →
Tansel Woods is a group of one story ranches on Thorncrest Drive, Woodale Road and Railwood Drive, set a few tenths of a mile north of Crawfordsville Road and just south of Lincolnwood, in the Wayne Township half of Clermont. The plat carries lot numbers that reach at least 68, and the three streets hold about 50 addresses. The houses went up between 1964 and 1971 and sit on lots from about a third of an acre to just over half an acre, with 1,600 to 1,900 square feet of living space on a single floor. The neighborhood has no association, so the window plan answers only to the homeowner, and the mature trees on these lots shade different rooms at different hours of the day. Westwood Park is the plat behind the small postwar houses along Mabel Street, south of Crawfordsville Road in the Wayne Township half of Clermont. Its lot numbers run past 90, and the houses date from the late 1940s through the mid-1950s. Each sits on about 9,450 square feet with roughly 1,200 square feet of living space on one floor. Mabel Street carries 35 addresses in all, though a few parcels along it belong to other plats, including a 1972 house on a wooded half acre. Lots here are noticeably smaller than the half acre parcels in Lincolnwood and Tansel Woods to the north, so the houses sit closer together and the side windows look toward a neighbor. View Westwood Park window treatment details →
Clermont was laid out in 1849 as Mechanicsburg, and the plat name on Key Lane still reads William J. Speer's 2nd Addition to Mechanicsburg. That early name fits the older streets around Key Lane and Hamilton Avenue, which sit in the Wayne Township half of town, with Robey Drive about half a mile farther south. The houses across these streets were built between 1928 and 1970, and they're single story homes of 1,200 to 1,950 square feet on lots of roughly 0.2 to 0.3 acre. Robey Drive sits close to the center of Clermont, and the three streets together hold close to 50 addresses, with no association to answer to, so each house's window plan is up to its owner alone. View Old Mechanicsburg window treatment details →
Sunningdale Boulevard, with about 85 addresses, carries most of Sunningdale Commons, a mid-1990s subdivision of single family houses just south of the Clermont town line in Wayne Township, Marion County. The neighborhood was platted in sections, and the houses date to 1994 and 1995. They come as four bedroom two stories of about 2,160 square feet with brick and vinyl siding and as three bedroom one stories of about 1,200 square feet with vinyl and brick. Lot size varies along the boulevard, from about 7,100 square feet up to a third of an acre, and corner lots are common where Sunningdale Court meets the boulevard, while an annual association charge goes with the houses and pays for the shared entrance. View Sunningdale Commons window treatment details →
Drake Hill is a section of Villages at Drake Landing, a development south of the Clermont town line in Wayne Township, a few tenths of a mile beyond Sunningdale Commons. Manita Drive is its confirmed street, with 19 addresses and lots averaging about 7,100 square feet. The houses were built in 2001 and 2002, and they come as two story masonry homes of about 2,300 square feet and as ranches of about 1,600 square feet, on lots under a quarter acre. Monthly association dues apply on some of the houses. Robey Drive and the older part of Clermont lie about a mile to the north, and the Clermont town line runs just north of Sunningdale Commons. View Drake Hill window treatment details →
Timberview at Eagle Creek is a subdivision on Forest Willow Drive, a street of about 26 addresses north of the town of Clermont in Pike Township. The houses were built in 2006 to 2008, all with two stories, on treelined lots of about half an acre, and recorded lots on the street average close to 20,000 square feet. Living area runs from about 3,000 to 4,100 square feet, with finished basements adding more. Eagle Creek Park lies to the north and east, and Bay Colony on the reservoir is about a mile farther north. Two story great rooms, French doors and daylight basements are common in the plans, and association dues go with the houses, paid twice a year toward maintenance. Bay Colony sits on Eagle Creek Reservoir in Pike Township, roughly a mile and a half north of the Clermont town limits, and it's a private, gated neighborhood built around waterfront homes. The houses date to the mid-1980s through 1989, two story lakeside homes on lots from about 0.8 acre to just over an acre, and Bay Colony Drive carries about 33 addresses with recorded lots averaging close to 40,000 square feet. Water access comes with many of the houses, as deeded boat docks or direct access to the reservoir. Sizes run from about 4,100 to 5,500 square feet, and monthly association dues go with the gated entry, which makes this the only gated neighborhood among those around Clermont. Wynbrooke lies southwest of Clermont across the line between Marion and Hendricks counties, in Washington Township, and it falls in the Avon school district even though the mailing address reads Indianapolis 46234. The neighborhood was platted in sections, with Day Star Drive, Northern Dancer Drive and Secretariat Drive holding about 100 addresses together. The houses went up between 2001 and 2004, all with two levels, on narrow lots with widths between 50 and 68 feet and areas of about 5,000 to 6,800 square feet. Living areas run from roughly 1,950 to 2,250 square feet, and the neighborhood has a pool, a park, a playground and tennis courts, with an annual association charge that keeps them up. Highlands at Eagle Crossing is a Hendricks County subdivision northwest of Clermont, in Lincoln Township, with Brownsburg schools and a mailing address of Indianapolis 46234. It's also known as Silverleaf, and it was built out in at least four sections. The houses went up in 2001 to 2004, two story homes with brick and vinyl siding and 3,100 to 3,750 square feet of living space. Lots measure about 0.27 to 0.39 acre, from parcels 114 feet wide and 124 feet deep on Windward Drive to cul de sac lots on Noble Court, and the two streets hold roughly 50 addresses together. A community pool, two parks and walking trails serve the neighborhood, and association dues paid twice a year keep them running. View Highlands at Eagle Crossing window treatment details →
